Aston Martin Rapide S - at a rather steep £200k, we expect
It took AM slightly longer to get the Aston Martin Rapide from concept to production than the career of the Spice Girls, although the final product is a bit more appealing. Well, depending on circumstances. But now, just a year since the Rapide became a production model, Aston Martin are gearing up to bring us a Rapide with a bit more grunt – the Aston Martin Rapide S.
Nissan has accepted 20,000 reservations for the Leaf electric car and said it has stopped taking orders until next year. Nissan began taking reservations for the Leaf in May. The Leaf, which is about the size of a Nissan Versa, is powered by an 80-kilowatt electric motor that produces 107 hp and 206 lb-ft of torque.
The intrepid Bimmerphiles over at www.e90post.com have uncovered a few drawings from BMW's latest patent request. The drawing shows a new transmission linkage and what looks to be a seven-speed manual transmission. Like the new Porsche 911, the BMW gear shifter has six gears in standard H pattern, with a seventh gear out to the right.
